1. Basket Lamp

The aim of this project was to spend time making a lamp which could be reproduced multiple times using plaster molds. Both the basket and the can-stand have plaster mold counterparts which have been casted using liquid clay. The inspiration for the basket was to create a lampshade which would cast a pattern across the room whilst providing adequate light beneath the lamp. I chose spaghetti hoops as the design on the cans because I wanted to paint something I missed whilst living in America for my term abroad at Parsons.
